Program staff
Junior Servant Leaders are young adults (between the ages of 16-20) who are responsible for assisting with the care and nurturing of the scholars at Freedom Scholars Learning Center summer program site. They are responsible for supporting the facilitation of the Integrated Reading Curriculum in a classroom setting, while also supporting outside facilitators and building relationships with students, families and the community. Junior Servant Leaders should be committed to the goals of FSLC, able to work collaboratively with all program constituents and be familiar with the culture and dynamics of the community.
College-age students and recent graduates play a vital role in the FSLC Summer Program. Servant Leader Interns are responsible for the direct care, supervision, and support of participating scholars.
Utilizing the Integrated Reading Curriculum, they facilitate classroom instruction and lead parent workshops and community outreach initiatives, helping to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
